Basic Homemade toothpaste recipe

Taking care of your mouth does a lot more for your health than simply preserving your bright smile.

Our bodies are a holistic system – each part affects the other. Your overall health affects your dental health, and vice-versa. Yet unfortunately, the majority of mainstream oral care products contain a slew of synthetic and sometimes even harmful ingredients that contribute to dis-ease.

Making your homemade toothpaste is a simple way of reducing your toxic load exposure; here is a basic toothpaste recipe with just three ingredients to get you started.


1/4 Cup baking soda

1 Tablespoon coconut oil

10 Drops peppermint essential oil


Mix all the ingredients until it forms a paste. It may seem too dry at first but keep mixing.

After you’ve mixed it for a few minutes, add a little coconut oil if it’s too dry. You don’t want it to be too oily.

Store in a jar for up to 3 weeks.
