Basic Granola Recipe

Basic Granola Recipe

Hey there! I’ve got a fantastic basic granola recipe to share with you today. It’s super easy to make, and I’ll be sharing some exciting variations in the future. So, stay tuned for more tasty inspiration!

Now, when it comes to eating healthy, I often skip adding granola to my smoothies. Why? Well, combining fruits with other ingredients can sometimes be a bit tricky. Fruits are best enjoyed with leafy greens, more fruits, water, or coconut water. Technically, granola doesn’t fit into this combination. Improperly combining your food can lead to digestion issues, like rotting and fermenting in your gut. But hey, life is all about balance, right? So, on those days when you crave something other than a green smoothie, this granola recipe is a fun way to stay on track. After all, having fun is just as important!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt

Now, let’s get baking:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Time to heat things up!
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Give them a good mix until everything is well blended. The delightful scent of cinnamon and vanilla will fill your kitchen!
  3. Grab a sheet of parchment paper and spread the mixture out evenly. This ensures that every bite will be packed with deliciousness.
  4. Pop the sheet in the oven and let it bake for 20 minutes. I know, the anticipation is tough, but trust me, it’ll be worth it!
  5. Once the time is up, take the sheet out of the oven and let the granola cool completely on the sheet. This helps it become nice and crunchy.
  6. Store your homemade granola in an airtight container. It’ll stay fresh for a few weeks, although I doubt it’ll last that long once you taste it!

Remember, consistency is key on your clean living journey. So, whenever you need a little boost of fun, whip up this recipe. And don’t worry, I’ve got more granola variations coming your way soon!

Until next time, happy cooking!
