Hey!

Chocolate Chage Latte

Chocolate Chage Latte

During those chilly winter days, I sometimes find myself craving a warm and cozy hot cocoa. But here’s the thing – I try to be mindful of my chocolate intake because it can have a similar effect on the adrenal gland as coffee. And if you’re dealing with hormone imbalances, it’s super important to watch your caffeine intake. That means keeping an eye on chocolate, coffee, green tea, and Matcha.

But fear not, my friend! I’ve got a fantastic tip for you. You know what would make your hot cocoa even more amazing? Adding a dash of Chaga! This magical ingredient helps regulate the production and balance of hormones like cortisol, insulin, and estrogen, which can really promote hormone balance and overall well-being. How cool is that?

On a side note, if you’re struggling with hormone imbalances and need a helping hand, I’m here for you! We can chat and see if we’re a good fit to work together. I specialize in supporting women who are dealing with hormone imbalances, helping them feel like their awesome selves again.

Ingredients

1 cup water

1 cup plant-based milk (such as almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk)

1 tablespoon raw cacao powder

1 teaspoon Chaga mushroom powder

1 tablespoon coconut sugar, or to taste. I like the coconut sugar, it gives it a bit of a caramel taste, if you don’t have coconut sugar on hand you can use maple syrup instead.

Optional: 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

1. In a saucepan, over medium heat whisk together the cocoa powder, chaga mushroom powder, coconut sugar, and a pinch of sea salt.

2. Slowly whisk in the water and plant-based milk until well combined.

3. Bring the mixture to a simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Taste the hot cocoa and adjust the sweetness as desired.

6. Once the hot cocoa is heated to your liking and the flavors have melded together, remove it from the heat.

7. Pour the hot cocoa into mugs and enjoy:)
