During pregnancy:

1st Trimester: While red raspberry leaf tea is typically recommended for the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy, some women use the herbal remedy to help with nausea and vomiting in the first trimester as well:

Limiting your intake to 1 cup per day if you consume it earlier in pregnancy is recommended.


2nd and 3rd Trimester: 1–3 cups per day

To make the tea:

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried or fresh herb and let steep for 15 minutes.


Side Effects:

Red raspberry leaf tea appears to be safe for most people.


If you experience Braxton Hicks contractions during pregnancy or have spotting in the second or third trimesters, you should discontinue use.
