This salad recipe was given to me by one of my mentors, Christian Limoges. This is an excellent salad to help cleanse your body and especially detox the liver.
1 Cup lettuce (spring mix)
1 Carrot, grated
1 Turnip, grated
1 Beet, grated
1 Cucumber, chopped
1 Cup red cabbage, sliced
1 Cup green cabbage, sliced
1 Tomato, chopped
6 Celery stalks, chopped
1 Bunch of parsley, chopped
1 Onion, chopped
6 Endives, chopped
1 Red pepper and seeds, chopped
1 Cup olive oil
1/2 Cup apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
3 Tablespoons raw honey
1 Tablespoon liquid-seasoning (Bragg’s Brand)
This recipe makes a huge salad; you can either prepare the entire recipe ahead of time and store it in the fridge for a few days or reduce the recipe for your needs.
I recommend making the exact recipe for the full benefits, but if sometimes there are certain ingredients that you don’t have on hand or don’t like, feel free to swap it for another vegetable or omit it. The goal is to eat a hefty amount of boom cleansing vegetables and alkaline leafy greens.
The dressing is also a large batch; you can prepare it all and leave it in the fridge, and dress your salad as needed.
Lastly, you can prepare all the crunchy vegetables ahead of time and only when you’re ready to eat the salad, add in the tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce to avoid a soggy salad.
